Originally from London, Rachel is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with extensive experience across hospitals, clinics, special and mainstream schools, nurseries, and community settings. She has a background as a swimming teacher, including working with children with additional needs, such as hearing and visual impairments.
Rachel assesses and provides interventions for children whose needs impact their everyday life. Her specialties include early intervention and supporting children with sensorimotor conditions, including: Autism, DCD, Down Syndrome (Trisomy 21), Cerebral Palsy, genetic and neurodegenerative/muscular conditions, as well as children with no diagnosis. She is passionate about supporting families and adults involved in children’s care, including educators, to ensure that every child can thrive and reach their full potential. Committed to evidence-based practice, Rachel focuses on helping children achieve their goals and participate fully in meaningful everyday activities (occupations.) She believes therapy should be enjoyable, engaging, and transferable across environments. In addition to her clinical skills, Rachel has experience in splinting, specialist equipment, and safe moving and handling techniques.
