A “Must Attend” Workshop for Occupational Therapists!

Sensation Station held another very successful accredited CPD event earlier in July. The course covered assessing a person with visual impairments’ ability to perform academic tasks, activities of daily living and mobility, in addition to practical sessions on actual educational materials, activities of daily living training, and going out for the mobility and environmental familiarization.

Organised by Sensation Station, the programme was accredited with 8 CPD credit points by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and was held on earlier in July 2017.

The event was attended by delegates from the UAE, Oman and Lebanon. A big thank you goes out to Mr. Mustafa Ahmad Al-Qaisi, the Course Instructor for delivering such an excellent workshop.

We also wish to thank MBC who had covered parts of the event for their “Green Apple” health-care show that airs on MBC 1 channel every Friday at 7 pm KSA time.

Presenter / Speaker:

Mustafa Ahmad Al-Qaisi, B.Sc., Occupational Therapy / M.Sc. & PgDip, Visual Rehabilitation. Fulltime Lecturer at the Hashemite University, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Department of Physical & Occupational Therapy, Jordan. Occupational Therapist since 2003, Postgraduate Diploma and Master Degree in Vision Rehabilitation from the German Jordanian University. Trained under the supervision from many of the Vision Rehabilitation Masters in Europe. Recently published a book titled: “Observing and developing play skills in children that are blind”.

DHA accredited:

This Program is awarded 8 CPD Credit Points by Dubai Health Authority. Certificates will be issued as per the name provided on the registration form, subject to full attendance.

Notes:

Above timings include breaks throughout the day. However, please note that in order to keep this course as affordable as possible, Refreshments or Lunch are not included in the fees and delegates are requested to make their own arrangements. A selection of food outlets and cafes are available with in the venue and also just a few steps away at the mall.
