Sensational Open Day
Friday, 3rd May 2019 we were celebrating our open day as well as the 5th anniversary of Sensation Station Centre. With the help of sponsors, supporters and partners we were able to make the open day truly Sensational!
The centre was filled with happy children and parents. While the little ones were occupied by many therapeutic activities, adults were enjoying expert talks presented by professionals.
One of the highlights of the day was ‘Reading Dogs’ visit. Where children got comfortable reading to Basset, Hershey. It’s well known that petting dogs can help with motor skills and is a calming factor as it can reduce stress, blood pressure and anxiety. Reading dogs have boosted the confidence of our young readers.
Our therapist prepared many engaging activities which kept children occupied and active such as Sensory Story Time, Obstacle Course at the Sensory Gym, Makaton Sign Language Singing, Improve Your Handwriting, Draw Your Super Powers, etc
We are so grateful to everyone who joined us on the day and we hope everyone had a wonderful time just like we did!
Sensation Station wants to thank many professionals and services that joined us for this very special 5-year Anniversary. It was great to see parents be able to join the talks while the children were participating in all the fun activities and enjoying their time with our therapists.
