PARENT TALKS

Sensation Station will be hosting another set of Parent Talks that are free to attend. If you are a parent and have questions about your child’s speech and language development, please join us at our centre.

MULTILINGUALISM IN YOUNG CHILDREN

Thursday 18^th October 2018, 9-10am 
This talk will provide examples of how a multilingual child may present in the nursery/classroom setting, provide suggestions of how to facilitate their learning as well as how to identify if the child’s difficulties with language are more than EAL issue.

STAMMERING

Thursday 25^th October 2018, 9-10am
This talk will provide information about stammering theories, common presentation, strategies to support and improve fluency, different therapy approaches and when to recommend Speech-Language intervention.

BUILDING BLOCKS FOR COMMUNICATION

Thursday 1^st November 2018, 9-10am
This talk is aimed at parents, carers and guardians of younger children who are developing their language skills. It will provide introductory information about approaches and activities to consider in order to help maximise the child’s understanding and communication
