Fun Junction Sensory Gym

The Fun Junction Sensory Gym includes a soft play area, a 20ft interactive magnetic climbing wall with whiteboard, a trampoline, balancing beam, specialised occupational therapy swings, ball-pool and various other equipment and games.

This space has been designed to target and develop gross motor function, motor planning, coordination, perception and fine motor skills through jumping, climbing, reaching, balancing, writing and problem solving using fun activities in structured and free play.

Wonder World – Multi-Sensory Snoezelen®

The Wonder World” Multi-Sensory Snoezelen® room is designed to create a stimulating yet calming atmosphere. The environment aims to provide a relaxing and positive experience, allowing pleasurable rewards without the need for verbal abilities or requiring specific outcomes.

This room can be used for 1:1 therapy and/or for small group sessions. Equipment includes an infinity panel, bubble column, special lighting with a projector to cast slow moving images or colours (mood-wheels), fibre optics curtains and more. Music or sounds are also controlled to coordinate with the overall theme or based on child’s own preference. Sensory and tactile toys and activities are available to create a variety of different experiences to stimulate or calm the senses. It can be used for therapy, learning or leisure.

Super Heroes – Able-Me Classroom

The Super Heroes multi-purpose group therapy room is equipped with a wide range of musical instruments, sensory art supplies, educational books, small soft-play area, toys & games used to enhance the sensory experience, aid therapy objectives and introduces children to fun and tactile play-based activities.

This room can be used for 1:1 therapy and/or small group sessions.

Cheeky Champions – Able-Me Classroom

Cheeky Champions is where the majority of the Able-Me Day Programme takes place.  Just like Super Heroes, this room is equipped with a wide range of art & craft supplies used to enhance and engage creatively, introduce children to fun and tactile methods of tracing & handwriting, aid therapy objectives and basic learning.

This room can be used for 1:1 therapy or small group sessions.

My World- Multi Purpose Therapy Room

Our My World room is available within the centre to provide Able-Me children an opportunity to learn through role play relating to the class learning journey themes with an aim in developing independence and life skills.

Discovery Corner – Arts & Crafts Room

As part of the therapy based Learning and Intervention Programme, the Discovery Corner is where a variety of fun arts and crafts activities take place.

This room is equipped with a wide range of sensory art supplies used to enhance the sensory experience, create art, introduce children to fun and tactile methods of tracing, cutting, beading and handwriting, aid therapy objectives and strategic learning. This room can be used for 1:1 or small group sessions.

Busy Bodies – Occupational Therapy Room

The Busy Bodies Occupational Therapy room can cater for 1:1 and small group sessions.

They incorporate table-top activities to improve fine motor skills, develop cognitive skills and tasks that require a quieter environment.

Word World – Speech & Language Therapy Room

Word World consist of three speech-language therapy rooms for 1:1 therapy sessions.

One of the rooms has a parent observation cubicle connected with audio and a one-way mirror window, allowing a parent to view and hear their child in session.
