Before your child can enroll in Able-Me, a parent consultation will be held
between the parents and a member of the Able-Me team.
This session typically lasts about 30-40 minutes and serves several important purposes:
- Identify and understand the parents’ concerns and reasons for seeking therapy
- Gather and discuss key information related to the child’s medical and developmental history or diagnoses
- Review any previous interventions or therapy the child has received
- Determine which Able-Me class the child will be invited to join for an exploration session.
The information gathered during the Parent Consultation is crucial for guiding the therapist’s
intervention and setting appropriate goals.
The therapist will provide verbal feedback on their initial thoughts and recommendations for the next steps.

The In’s & Out’s of Able-Me
A Specialist Learning and Intervention Programme
The Able-Me Programme was created to give children a voice — recognising their unique needs and dreams. Carefully developed by Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a UK-qualified Educational Psychologist with a background as a Special Educational Needs Teacher, Able-Me is designed to nurture each child’s individual abilities and strengths.
Our Approach
We believe that every child is unique and constantly learning. With the right environment, they can become resilient, capable, confident, and self-assured.
Able-Me promotes
Positive relationships
An enabling environment
Independence and confidence
Our Team
Able-Me is led by our experienced Head of Therapy who is a licensed therapist and our Managing Director, who holds qualifications in Healthcare Management and has a background in Therapeutic Intervention and Parent Support.
Our dedicated Able-Me Class Leads are trained in child learning and development, with extensive experience working in paediatrics. They are supported by Able-Me Assistants, who provide additional support throughout the day.
Programme Structure
- Small Group Size: Each group has 5-12 children to ensure personalised support.
- Age Range: We typically accept children aged 4-7 years. However, we understand that some children may have developmental differences. Suitability is assessed during the Parent Consultation and Exploration Session.
- Ongoing Evaluation: We regularly assess each child’s needs to ensure they continue to benefit from the programme. If we believe an alternative setting would better meet their needs, we will have an in-depth conversation with parents to discuss suitable options. e.g. needing to move onto a formal education environment or to a different specialist provision.
Schedule
- Timings: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Duration: 10-month programme, aligned with Dubai’s academic calendar.
- Breaks: Public holidays, emergency government guided closures, staff training days, or other unforeseen circumstances may affect class schedules.
Weekly Therapy Provision
A dedicated Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist work closely with each class to provide targeted advice and support.
- Therapy is typically delivered as one-to-one 45-minute sessions.
- Sessions may take place in the classroom or therapy room, depending on the child’s goals.
- Where appropriate, therapists may combine children for group therapy to encourage social and peer interaction, extending the session duration.
Communication with Parents
We use Tapestry, a secure communication platform, to keep parents informed and connected with their child’s progress. Tapestry allows:
- Regular updates
- Two-way communication between parents, class staff, and therapists
- Easy access via the Tapestry app or website
Enrolment Process
To ensure we can fully meet your child’s needs, our enrolment process includes:
- Parent Consultation: A vital step where parents share their child’s history, strengths, and needs with the Class Lead and Therapy Team.
- Exploration Session: A session where your child can explore the environment, allowing us to assess their suitability for the programme.
Enrolment is open throughout the year, subject to availability.
If you have any questions or would like to begin the enrolment process, please get in touch with us.

From some of our happy parents…
Over a year ago, we stepped into Sensation Station as clients, seeking intervention and therapy services for our daughter. We left not just satisfied but as friends of this remarkable place. The staff here are nothing short of incredible. Each interaction was imbued with professionalism, empathy and a passion for their work. It's not just a therapy centre; it's a beacon of hope and a community of support.
We are deeply grateful for their impact on our daughter's journey.Your commitment to nurturing our child’s early education journey is profoundly appreciated. We know it is a solid foundation as she steps into the next phase of her learning journey.
I was looking for a centre for my 7 year old Autistic son for activities and therapy based learning. I found Sensation Station at the right time. He is enjoying the place and staff is also very dedicated towards the kids to make sure they get maximum support. I will always recommend this centre.
I was having a hard time looking for an inclusion school that would be best fit for my son. Its such a blessing that I have found out about Sensation Station and got engaged with Michelle who made me understand how the Able-Me programme would help my son’s progress and to prep him for 'big' school. Their staff are so nice and friendly and I also like their reporting system where you see weekly activities and photos of your kid in action.
I am so proud of the kind child Johannes has become, a few years back, we couldn't have imagined this was possible. Coming to Sensation Station was the best decision we have ever made for him. Even on our 1st meeting for a consultation at the centre, we genuinely felt the sense of belongingness not only for us as parents but more so for Johannes. We feel that he found himself a second home. I am personally sad that he has to leave Sensation Station but this only means that the centre has made a real good job for him. I am truly proud how much progress he has achieved in just more than 2 yrs and this wouldn't be possible without all of you. It's a mixed feelings, so sad he has to say goodbye but very much happy that Johannes is ready to take on new challenges but also ready to make new friends. We couldn't thank you enough but again, thank you all very much from the bottom of our hearts for taking such good care of Johannes and we know that you are doing the same for Fil. More power to SS!
