Leaping Lilly Pads learning and therapy programme is an innovative addition to the Able-Me Inclusion Programme. This programme mirrors an EYFS setup, aiming to support children transition to a mainstream or specialist school setting.
If your child is at a school-going age and have received formal and/or informal feedback about them needing support to develop essential skills (e.g. toilet training, sharing skills, turn-taking skills etc.) to transition to mainstream school, then this programme is the right place him/her.
Children between 4 years to 7 years of age are welcome in the programme, however, this depends on case-by-case basis, depending on the needs of the children.
We identify and support areas that need intervention, this could include speech, language, communication, physical barriers, behaviours that communicate anxiety, over stimulation, sensory processing, sensory seeking and many more.
The programme is designed to run during school year for 5 days a week from 9 am to 2 pm.
We aim to work towards development of skills such as – turn-taking, sharing, building friendships, requesting, fine motor, gross motor, following instructions, transitioning, toilet training, pre-academic skills and many more.
Our classroom povides opportunity for your child to learn through a range of activities such as table-top (e.g. cutting, threading, colouring and/or painting), physical (e.g. yoga, dancing, exercises), pre-academic (e.g. phonics, numeracy) and many more.
Yes, toilet training can be incorporated into your child’s individualized learning plans.
Leaping Lilly Pads target short and long term goals using frameworks within the child’s very own Tapestry Learning Journal.
A transition pack is designed to support their transition and these will be tailored based on your child’s needs.
Yes, your child will receive Speech and Occupational Therapy services which is built into this programme.
We closely work with many schools around the UAE as we provide outreach services for both Speech and Language Therapy.
