Nhydya is a graduate from Cebu Doctors’ University and is a registered Occupational Therapist in the Philippines (OTRP). She has since attended various workshops targeted at the paediatric population for continuing education.
Her working experiences include providing intervention in private paediatric facilities at Davao City and Tagum City within 2019 – 2020, where she honed working with cases that included Global Developmental Delays, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, sensory processing disorders, and some behavioural difficulties in children.
During the pandemic, she went back to her hometown and founded her own private centre for children, Life Tools Therapy Centre on October 2020. She has trained newly registered therapists in her clinic, collaborated with doctors and parents, and worked as a senior paediatric therapist as well.
Nhydya is passionate about the paediatric population and sees value in both client-centred and family-centred approaches. She believes that understanding the neuroscience and brain child development hand-in-hand with environmental supports, and forming genuine relationships would best support developing children.
