To maintaining Motivation and Healthy Life Style
- Get educated about your food choices. Have you ever read the ingredients listed in the foods you buy? If you cannot read the names easily, chances are that the food contains chemicals, preservatives and unhealthy additives to enhance flavor and longevity.
- Get plenty of rest. Getting at least seven hours of sleep every night helps restore the body and can reduce stress hormones that can lead to adrenal dysfunction.
- Oppress Stress. Stress can lead to weight gain, increased blood pressure and increased risk for anxiety and depression. Take time for yourself to decrease your stress level. Your heart, body and mind will thank you.
- Sit less, move more. Physical activity helps to prevent cardiovascular disease and can improve overall health. Any kind of movement is better than nothing. Make a conscious effort to move!
- Do what makes you happy. Surround yourself with people who make you feel happy, motivated and uplifted and do things that you enjoy. Improving your mood and mental health is great for your heart!
- One step at a time. Making even small changes in your life consistently can add up to big changes. Keeping your body and mind healthy will increase the likelihood of living a long, happy life. You deserve it!
- Connect with like-minded people. Connect with other parents, colleagues or friends who have similar interests and lifestyle. Join group activities, communal campaigns and events. Find a time to talk, meet and spend time with like-minded people.
- Create your own definition of a healthy lifestyle. Find something that feels good for you on your own terms and always strive to keep your mind active and engaged.
